B. General:
01. Application: Manufacturing of SPUN TYPE PRE-STRESSED CONCRETE POLE for P.C. Pole Manufacturing plant, BPDB. Chittagong.
02. Type: Round cold drawn high tensile, indented, pre-straightened, normal relaxation & pay out straight.
03. Materials
(a) The high tensile wire must meet the following chemical composition:

(b) Modulus of Elasticity: >= 1.8 x 106 kg/cm2
(c) Coefficient of linear expansion : 11 x 104 Inch/degree centigrade.
(d) The variation of strength & elongation at any part of the one-piece wire should not be greater than 2% (shall be supported test report).
(e) HTS wire must be suitable for the technical requirement of cold upsetting (cold heading) & diameter of the head should be greater or equal to 1.5 times the diameter of the wire.

N. B. Relaxation Test Gripping the test piece at the proper distance at ambient temperature. Load (load by weight) equivalent to 80% of the max Load, giving the test piece permanent elongation of 0.2% which is specified above table, shall be applied to the test piece for about one minute, then holding the distance of grips as it Is for 10 (ten) hours and decrease of the load shall be measured the relaxation value thon shall be determined as a percentage of decreed load for the Initial load.
04. Appearance & Shape : Deformed wire shall have almost round sectional area and either uniform projections or dents continuously or with regular In'ervals. Depth for projections or dent = 0.15 mm max, as per relevant standard.
05. Coil : One continuous length of finished wire without joint or splice or any description wound in closed pecked concentric ring, packing must be done by polythene & bituminous packing paper so that no water or conoslve material can come into contact with the H.T.S. Wire.
06. (a) Nominal Internal diameter of coil: 160-170 cm
(b) Outside diameter of coil: 180-220 cm
(c) Weight of wire per coil: 300-1000 kg
(d) length of wire per coil: 600-2000 m
(e) Width of coil: 20- 30 cm.
07. Tolerance of diameter of H.T.S Wire: -0.05 mm to +0.05 mm.
08. Quality of finished wire
(a) The finished wire shall be well & clearly drawn, round & free from rust, pits, slug Inclusion, rattle, spllis, surface flaws piping & other harmful defects. The mentioned Wire quality must be fulfilled at the time of delivery.
(b) There shall be no welds In the finished wire.
(c) The cold bending test can not be less than three times which means the repeated banding times, with 180° & bending radius 15 mm for 6 mmØ, repeated bending times, with 180° & bending radius 20 mm for 7 mm Ø, repeated beading times, with 180° & bending radius 20mm for 8 mm Ø & repeated bending times, with 180° & bending radius 25 mm for 9 mm Ø.
09. Standards : Manufacture. performance, design & testing shaft be in accordance with JISG 3536 or equivalent.
10. Features
(I) Wire shall be shipped In standard packing as mentioned.
(ii) Each coil shall have the following information stenciled on side: Size& Kind of wire. Length of wire. Gross & Net weight.
(iii) There shall be one piece of wire in one coil. Maximum It cannot be more than two pieces occasionally. After paying out from coil, wire must be straight, it must no take any bending form.
